Description
The moon always appears huge near the horizon. The supermoon appears larger than life. This night, the moon appeared bright orange as is rose above the marine layer. Ashes from a distant forest fire creates a natural airglow filter from which the moon seems to be tinted orange.
Drivers create car trails with their headlights along the shore and enjoy the view of the supermoon rising as they head home for the day.
