Nearly 450 dark night sky images were stacked together for this composite image. The sky image was combined with a separate foreground with the lifeguard tower.
As the Earth rotates, all the constellations appear to rotate around Polaris, the North Star.
About Lindsay Thomson
Lindsay Thomson is a photographer who specializes in a variety of landscape images. Her photos have garnered her awards in juried exhibitions locally and internationally. Living in Southern California in close proximity to local beaches, Lindsay enjoys photographing sunrises, sunsets and long exposure images over the ocean.
