Artist's Description

The colors of the sunset paint the skies and ocean in saturated colors of purple, blue, pink and mauve. What a sight to behold!

Directly across the bay is the location where the Boston Tea Party occurred at Griffin's Wharf. The actual site was obliterated due to extensive landfills during the 19th century.

On December 16, 1773, American colonists, frustrated and angry at Britain for imposing “taxation without representation,” dumped 342 chests of tea, imported by the British East India Company into the harbor (History.com).

Lindsay Thomson

Lindsay Thomson is a photographer who specializes in a variety of landscape images. Her photos have garnered her awards in juried exhibitions locally and internationally. Living in Southern California in close proximity to local beaches, Lindsay enjoys photographing sunrises, sunsets and long exposure images over the ocean. A national forest is close to home and offers many opportunities for photography as well. She enjoys astrophotography, specifically Milky Way and star trails combined with unique foreground elements. She is fascinated by the beauty and geometry of plants and flowers. Macro photography gives her the opportunity to share these close up views of nature with others.
