The Milky Way rises over an abandoned California gold mine. The lights of a nearby town can be seen in the distance. The skies are nearly void of light pollution which makes perfect conditions for star gazing the billions of stars that can be seen from this location.
This was taken later in the evening as Milky Way and Gold Mine. The Milky Way continues its journey to the right.

Living in Southern California in close proximity to local beaches, Lindsay enjoys photographing sunrises, sunsets and long exposure images over the ocean.
