The sun sets below the horizon. The lights of the city sparkle like diamonds. Only 20 minutes has passed since "Boston Harbor Sunset" and the change in light is very dramatic.

Directly across the bay is the location where the Boston Tea Party occurred at Griffin's Wharf. The actual site was obliterated due to extensive landfills during the 19th century.
On December 16, 1773, American colonists, frustrated and angry at Britain for imposing “taxation without representation,” dumped 342 chests of tea, imported by the British East India Company into the harbor (History.com).
