Matilija Poppies are native to California. Their brilliant white petals are a harmonious contrast to the golden yellow, saturated centers. They are sometimes referred to as "Sunny Side Up Poppies". A filter was added for a painterly effect.
About Lindsay Thomson
Lindsay Thomson is a photographer who specializes in a variety of landscape images. Her photos have garnered her awards in juried exhibitions locally and internationally. Living in Southern California in close proximity to local beaches, Lindsay enjoys photographing sunrises, sunsets and long exposure images over the ocean.
